about our classes

Our photography curriculum is developed and delivered around four key elements; building creativity, curiosity, consciousness and connection.

Our Photo Club sessions aim to:

- introduce and expand upon the elements of photography in a practical way

- encourage a child's freedom to be creative in their photography style

- teach children to develop stronger images through our (top secret!) "6 by 6" method of photographing

- encourage individualism, unique perspectives and variety in images

- develop a child's appreciation for light, shadow, lines, contrast, colour, texture, movement and moment

- be a safe place for creative experimentation with a camera!

Each lesson is themed and includes practical, hands-on projects designed by us at The Photo Club.  We know that each child will have photography strengths and areas to develop and so we aim to individualise our programme as much as possible.

At the end of each term we have a 'mini exhibition' of printed work where we invite parents to join us as we showcase the work of each student.  This is a celebration of their creativity and curiosity!
